The Curious Biologist is the first tattoo studio in the world to offer personalized microscopy tattoos. You can choose a media source to be grown in The Curious Biologist Lab and affixed to a slide for viewing and selection of your own personal microscopic art!

Step One:

Choose your media.

Suggestions:

Pond Water

Skin/Cheek/Nose Bacteria

Sand

Plant Materials

Fungi

Dirt

Dust

Insects

Step Two:

If you have chosen bacteria, we have to make a culture, grow it on a petri dish, and incubate it for 72 hours.

Step Three:

We make the slide. If you have chosen bacteria, we will need to stain and fix the slide before viewing.

Step Four:

You choose the view you prefer under the microscope

Step Five:

The Curious Biologist draws your preferred view and create tattoo art

Step Six:

You can have your microscopy art either solitary in a circle frame or select a frame from The Curious Biologist's portfolio or have your slide view drawn up with a microscope.

Step Seven:

Tattoo your art! You now have a unique tattoo that no one else in the world has.
